One bulk package of fully cooked, freeze dried garbanzo beans packaged for long-term storage. The beans are vacuum sealed in a moisture- and oxygen-free environment and come in an easy-tear, resealable mylar bag for convenient use and storage.

Rehydration yield: each ounce of freeze dried beans yields approximately 6 ounces of fresh beans; the package rehydrates to about 108 ounces (6.75 pounds).

Storage & Shelf Life

Unopened: Shelf life of up to 10 years when stored in the original sealed pouch in a cool, dry, dark place.
After opening: Reseal the pouch using the built-in zip closure and keep the oxygen absorber and desiccant inside to extend freshness. Once opened, consumed portions should be used within 3 months to 1 year depending on storage conditions. Vacuum sealing opened pouches can extend shelf life further.

Preparation

To rehydrate: add water according to label instructions, let soak for a few minutes, then heat and serve. Because these are fully cooked, they can also be eaten directly as a snack.
