Packaging & Storage

  • Vacuum sealed in a resealable, multi-layer mylar pouch packed in a moisture- and oxygen-free environment.
  • Includes an integrated zip closure; keep the oxygen absorber and moisture desiccant in the pouch when resealing to maximize shelf life.
  • Unopened shelf life: up to 10 years when stored out of direct sunlight. Properly resealed portions should be used within three months; vacuum sealing opened pouches can extend life significantly.

Use & Preparation

  • Rehydrate with water for a few minutes (follow label instructions); heat to desired temperature and crispiness before serving.
  • Each ounce of chopped freeze-dried bacon rehydrates to approximately two ounces of freshly cooked bacon. A 1-pound pouch rehydrates to roughly two pounds of cooked, drained chopped bacon.
  • Can be added directly to scrambled eggs, omelets, hash browns, recipes, or rehydrated and heated for a crisp finish.
