Use and Preparation

Simply rehydrate with water for a few minutes (follow instructions on the label), heat if desired, and serve. The product is ideal for camping, hiking, emergency food storage, and as a lightweight, healthy snack straight from the bag.

Packaging and Storage

Packaged in a multi-layer mylar pouch that helps protect against moisture, oxygen, and light. Store unopened packages in a cool, dry, dark place for best shelf life. After opening, reseal the pouch and store in a dry area.

Shelf Life & Storage Guidance

• Unopened: Factory-sealed pouches are designed for very long shelf life; the packaging supports 25+ years when stored sealed and kept out of direct sunlight.
• After opening: When resealed with the original closure and kept with the included oxygen absorber and moisture desiccant, non-meat items such as freeze-dried vegetables will typically remain shelf-stable for up to one year depending on storage conditions. Meat items should be used within approximately 90 days after opening unless re-sealed with a vacuum sealer.
• To extend storage life after opening: Use a home vacuum sealer to remove residual oxygen; this can extend usable life substantially (5+ years in many cases) when combined with dry, cool storage.
