Product Details

One bulk package of freeze-dried sliced fresh avocado packaged for long-term storage. The slices are vacuum-sealed in a moisture- and oxygen-free, multi-layer resealable pouch so they arrive ready to use.

Preparation

Rehydrate avocado in cold water for 1 hour, drain excess water, and serve. Rehydrated slices work well on sandwiches, toast, scrambled eggs, in guacamole, in salads, or as part of dressings and sauces. The product is also convenient as a lightweight hiking or camping snack.

Avocado (sliced), citric acid, ascorbic acid (to promote color retention).

Storage and shelf life

Unopened pouches are designed to retain quality for up to 10 years when kept sealed and stored out of direct sunlight. After opening, reseal the pouch (or use a home vacuum sealer) and store away from humidity and pests; remaining product life is typically between three months and one year depending on storage conditions and how well the pouch is reclosed.
