Freeze-dried crumbled feta retains its salty, tangy flavor and rehydrates quickly. Simply add water and allow to sit for a few minutes, then heat and serve. Each ounce of freeze-dried feta rehydrates to about three ounces of fresh feta, so a 17-ounce bag yields roughly 51 ounces of rehydrated cheese.

Ideal for hiking, camping, emergency food storage, or as a crunchy, high-protein snack straight from the pack.

Ingredients: Pasteurized milk, salt, cheese culture, enzymes, powdered starch (to prevent caking).

Storage & Shelf Life

• Unopened: a shelf life of at least 10 years when stored sealed and out of direct sunlight.
• After opening: reseal the bag and store with oxygen absorbers or vacuum-seal; use remaining portions within about 90 days for meat items and up to a year for many non-meat items depending on conditions.

• Rehydration: Add cold water, soak for a few minutes until pieces reconstitute; drain excess liquid and heat if desired.
• Packaging: Resealable easy-tear mylar bag, vacuum packed in a moisture- and oxygen-free environment.
