Storage & Shelf Life

Store unopened pouches in a cool, dry, dark place for maximum shelf life. Unopened pouches offer 25+ years of shelf life under proper storage conditions. After opening, reseal the pouch and keep the included oxygen absorber and desiccant; remaining product is best used within 90 days for meats and up to about a year for many non-meat items depending on storage conditions.

Preparation and Storage

• To rehydrate: add hot water and let sit a few minutes until texture is restored. Adjust water amount to your taste.
• For long-term storage, keep pouches sealed in a cool, dry, dark place away from rodents and direct sunlight.
• After opening, re-close the integrated zipper and use within recommended time frames. Using a home vacuum sealer to reclose the pouch can extend usable life.
