One pack of uncooked freeze-dried United States Department of Agriculture Prime ribeye steaks packaged for long-term storage. Each sealed pouch contains 12.5 ounces of freeze-dried ribeye steaks. Rehydrate a portion when needed \u2014 each ounce of freeze-dried steak rehydrates to approximately four ounces of fresh steak.

Use and preparation

Storage & Shelf Life

• Unopened pouches: 25+ year shelf life when stored in a cool, dry, dark place.
• After opening: reseal with the included closure and keep the included oxygen absorber and desiccant; consume remaining portions within about 90 days for best quality. Using a vacuum sealer to remove residual oxygen can extend opened storage time.

Notes

• Net weight is the packaged freeze-dried weight. Rehydrated weight is greater; expect roughly a 4:1 weight rehydration ratio (one ounce freeze-dried \u2248 four ounces rehydrated).
